Co-author Steve Zwick will speak at the Indigenous Village (Aldeia COP) during COP30 on Monday, November 17, from 11:00 to 12:00.
His talk will explore The Carbon Paradox from an Indigenous perspective, focusing on three key paradoxes: Additionality, Communities, and Control.
The Aldeia COP is located about 30 minutes from the Blue Zone and can be reached via bus lines 643 or 305. Once there, visitors can experience a range of initiatives by and for Indigenous peoples, highlighting local leadership in global climate action.

Co-author Steve Zwick will discuss how The Carbon Paradox framework helps us understand smallholder programs within jurisdictional and territorial climate strategies as part of the panel “Social Carbon and Territorial Approaches: Pathways to Local Climate Resilience,” taking place on 18 November, from 16:00 to 17:00, in the Green Zone (Sebrae Pavilion).
