At carbonparadox.org, we believe that carbon credits are a fundamental instrument to finance climate action, particularly in countries of the Global South. In fact, it is so far the only such instrument that ever reached a certain scale.

However, if we don’t openly and honestly confront, discuss and try to solve the inherent paradoxes, the debate about carbon credits will continue to go in circles.
